Match 3

The armoured murmillo, Agrippa goes against my agile, dual sword dimachaerus, Carak.

Turn 5

Both pause to catch their breath.

The slower movements of the armoured murmillo not being able to keep pace with the unarmoured but quicker dimachaerus made all the difference in this short match. That and Carak's attacks fortuneately found their mark on one of the few unarmoured parts of the murmillo, his chest. A great beginning for my 2-sword wielding Carak.

3rd Match to come

3rd match has a heavily armed murmillo against my dual-sword wielding dimachaerus. The dimachaerus is quicker but is practically unarmoured, although he has the "agile" signature while I rolled up no signature for the murmillo. Carak is favored, but I fear that a single good blow could end the match since only his belly area is leather armoured. Hopefully his greater speed will prove the difference.

2nd Match...so many wasted opportunities

Ok, after a busy week at work, I've gotten around to posting Match 2 for House Tyranus.

Turn 5 & 6 Both contestants remain stationary and catch their breath.

Turn 8 Marco moves to attack, finds an opening, but decides to step back once again to catch his breath. (Now as lanista, I begin to pull my hair out)

Turn 10 Both catch their breath.

Turn 11 Gavros catches his breath. Marco once again finds an opening to attack, but drops back to the center of the arena to catch his breath. (Ok, as lanista, I am going to have a little chat with the tentative actions of my hoplomachus...the 3rd time he had an opening, and the 3rd time he waited to catch his breath...aarrgg)

Turn 12 Both catch their breath.

Turn 13 A Marco engages and finds an opeing...but wouldnt you know it, he decides to drop back again and catch his breath(Some very unlucky rolling on the NPG Options table)

Turn 14 and 15 Both catch their breath.

Turn 16 Gavros catches his breath. Marco engages and finds an opening...but only...once again...decides...to drop back and catch his breath...by now the crowd is growing restless...and me as lanista...the frustration is building...so many missed opportunities.

Turn 18 Both catch their breath.
